Rush Limbaugh Literally Commits Sedition and Treason
From the land of doublespeak, Rush Limbaugh calls for a military coup to oust Obama–which is pretty literally sedition and treason–stepping it up a few notches from simply hoping out loud that he fails. I am sure I don’t need to point out the irony in the fact that Rush, et al used to accuse anyone who came close (including Senator Tom Daschle) to criticizing Bush of sabotage and treason.
Of course, judging from the intelligence of the various commenters, his audience wouldn’t pick up on the fact that he was calling acts of mere criticism of Bush treasonous. E.g.,:
I love how people who know nothing about Rush assume his listeners are stupid or afraid of Rush. Excuse me, buttwipe, but I choose to listen to him. Not out of fear. I also think I’m pretty well informed. Especially regarding this Marxist in the White House. He’s guilty of TREASON as far as I’m concerned. Detain him, try him, and hang him. That is the BEST deal Obozo deserves. Him, and his circus of an Administration.
If you’re interested, the legal definition of “treason” includes:
Whoever knowingly or willfully advocates, abets, advises, or teaches the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying the government of the United States…
I’m pretty sure no Bush critics ever went that far…but then again, there are a lot of crazy people who think that there is such a thing as freedom of speech.
