Horrifying Links
Shouldn’t this movie be categorized as some subset of Horror? Romantic Zombedy, perhaps?
Of course, I’m always terrified by a wholly other brand of scariness that derives from its realism. E.g., Glenn Beck University. Coming this Fall for a low, low price of only $74.95 a year (and, again no joke, it employs a professor named James R. Stoner, Jr.).
On that note, here’s a video preview of the way the world ends:
At least some scary social trends can be fought with things like the internet. For example, 4chan just successfully voted to send Justin Bieber to North Korea, so one would expect that problem to be as good as solved. But, the BBC duly reports both sides of the story, and notes that “it is not known whether Kim Jong-il is a fan of Justin Bieber’s music.” Only time will tell, hopefully.
Last, but certainly not least, when it comes to the mysterious affectations of teenage girls on hysteric hormones, I finally understand the appeal of Twilight. No, really. This video explains the phenomenon almost as well as the tweet that went “Twilight’s like soccer. They run around for 2 hours, nobody scores, and its billion fans insist you just don’t understand.”
Thank me with a comment.
awesome post. Beiber to N. Korea!
Thanks, Steven. Unfortunately, Bieber is pussying out, but it’s kind of funny how his representatives don’t quite seem to understand the distinction between a hoax and a prank.
