Fighting the Mediocre Fight

Sometimes it is fun and satisfying to watch the Republican Campaign for the Immolation Nomination, which lays bare the party’s internal and external contradictions, and total capture by the most extreme elements who totally lack shame and possess the full courage of their crazy convictions. But then you realize that this pathetic excuse for an opposition to the incumbent Obama Administration makes for some bad (dis-)incentives.
Oof.
But what’s the solution? Surely not this:
